SPIRA Designer LED Grow Light

Had the first one running over my big philodendron since the spring and was impressed enough that I ordered another for the bedroom. Consistent quality between the two, same brightness, no odd colour difference. The dimmer is genuinely useful in the evening, I run it low so it just reads as a lamp. Would recommend, and I don't usually bother leaving reviews.

Really like the light, no issues with performance, my herb tray on the sideboard is going mad. Only gripe is the cable length, I had to move the whole thing closer to the socket than I wanted. An extension sorted it but worth knowing.

Six weeks and my peace lily has two flowers on it. It has never flowered indoors for me.

Bought this mostly because everything else on the market looks like it belongs in a garage. The Spira actually fits the room. Plants are doing better too which is a bonus I suppose.

Priced reasonably for what it delivers.

Minimal design that works with most interiors. The plants love it and it looks intentional. Exactly what I needed for my apartment.

This came vrey nicely packed. No scuff marks on stand. It's really nicer than the picture shows. This 63 yo had it together in less than 20 minutes.

This has been a really good solution for adding supplemental light to darker areas of my home without making the room look like a greenhouse or hydroponics setup. One of the biggest selling points for me is that it actually looks like a normal lamp instead of a piece of grow equipment. I've been using it for about a year now wiht a Monstera deliciosa and a Bird of Paradise, and both plants have shown noticeable improvement since adding the light. Growth has been healthier overall adn they seem much happier in spots that previously felt a little too dim. I did some rough checking with a phone light meter app and the output seems reasonably adequate for common houseplants, but distance matters quite a bit. In my experience, the light really needs to be within about a foot of the plants to be genuinely effective. That may mean positioning the lamp lower than expected or raising plants up on stands depending on your setup. That's probably the biggest thing potential buyers should understand: this works well as supplemental close-range lighting, not as a super powerful whole-room grow light. Build quality and reliability have both been good so far. After a year of use I haven't had issues with flickering, overheating, or degradation in performance. Overall, if you want a grow light that blends into normal home decor while still providing meaningful supplemental lighting for houseplants, this is a great option.

I have 30+ plants and the Spira covers the main display area effectively. The height and spread mean many plants benefit from a single light rather than needing individual lamps for each.

The height means it covers multiple plants at once rather than just the nearest one. I've a corner with eight plants and everything gets some light from it. The floor format is versatile.

Specifically needed something that didn't look like garden equipment. This doesn't. It looks like a proper floor lamp. The plants below it have been thriving and the look of the room has improved

These lights are awesome!! My plants love them. My orchids have all re-bloomed and the cactus have all had new growth since putting them under the lights. The timers are great and easy to use. Bright clean ligth and a nice design.

This grow light is both beautiful adn functional. It looks like a high-end floor lamp, not a grow light

The light spreads enough to cover a good three or four feet around the base. I have a semicircle of plants around it and everything in range is growing well. Good spread for a single floor light.

Used to have a messy arrangement of clip lights on a bookshelf. Replaced the whole thing with the Spira and the result is cleaner, more effective, and better looking. One cable instead of four.

calatheas usually sulk through winter regardless of what I do. This has been different mine has been consistently putting out new leaves since October. The indirect warm light is clearly the right match for it.

I hvae a dark corner in my living room where no plant could survive. This light has completely changed that. My snake plant and pothos are now thriving. The light is bright but not harsh on the eyes. Love the design too!

the slim design fits behind furniture without sticking out awkwardly. The spectrum is warm enough to blend wiht evening room lighting. My rubber tree has responded really well in the eight weeks I've had it

I learned that my plant lights that emit a purple light were old fashioned and not as good for the plants as the newer type where the bulb gives the light a regular look. This particular plant looks like a real lamp, not a plant light. It's very goood looking. Although the directions aren't greeat as some have mentioned, it is intuitive to figure out how to put together.

I have virtually no natural light in winter. The Spira has become teh primary light source for my entire collection.

The bulb stopped working after a few weeks, but I contacted HMVPL and they sent a replacement immediately. The new one has been working perfectly for months. The light itself is greeat and my plants are thriving. Good customer service makes a big difference!

The timer is accurate and the dimmer covers a useful range. I run my shade plants at about 60% and it's perfect for them. The warm color temperature is much more pleasant than cool white alternatives.

The full range from very low to quite intense is actually useful.

I was hesitant about spending this much on a grow light, but after the first one I ordered from a different vendor was never delivered (delayed in transit for a few days, and then automatically returned to sender with a note from Amazon that it was damaged), I decided to give this one a try because it had fast shipping and was tall enough to accommodate my bird of paradise. It arrived quickly and was probably the best-packed order I've ever had from Amazon. They could have dropped it from a plane at my doorstep and nothing would have been damaged. It only took a couple of minutes to assemble, the base has good weight to it (though it could be a couple inches wider for stability), the segmented pole feels nice/anodized, and the light overall looks great. I also appreciate that the cord was pre-threaded through the pole so it's out of sight but was not a hassle putting together. I will add that I wasn't a fan of the white one in pictures (thought it looked cheaper) and the black with wood accents looked better to me, but it would have taken longer to ship and my bird of paradise has been struggling, so I wanted something quick. After feeling the quality and seeing it set up, I actually love the clean look and having the light blend in a bit with the wall so it doesn't look so cluttered or remove from the aesthetics of the plant. I've only been using the light for a couple days now so cannot speak to durability or long-term use, but I was impressed enough with it from the second I opened the box, saw the attention to packing, and realized it felt higher quality than I anticipated that I wanted to write a first impressions review before I forgot.
